why yoga nidra should be your #1 focus
I see so many coaches and healers trying to 'find ease and flow' by focussing ALL of their attention on Instagram trends and ZERO on what actually helps them regulate, and it makes me feel a little stressed for them…
Don’t get me wrong, Instagram is great and all.
It can be a fantastic way to learn about new tools and practices.
But sometimes creators create for the wrong reasons.
The algorithm governs what gets seen, what gets liked, and what feels “on trend.” And when that’s the main driver, it’s easy to lose sight of what actually sustains you: the nervous system regulation, the deep rest, the embodied practices that keep you grounded and creative long-term.
I see so many coaches and healers trying to regulate by ticking boxes and following influencer trends and challenges, thinking that they’re regulating, all the while their systems are running on empty. True regulation isn’t about external validation or busywork. It’s about tuning in, slowing down, and giving your nervous system the space and care it truly needs.
That’s why practices like Yoga Nidra (and programs like Nidra Nirvana) exist: to support your energy at its root, so you can show up fully, without burning out.
Yoga Nidra is the magic unicorn that seamlessly joins together a bunch of healing modalities (breathwork, meditation, somatics, visualisation, and even subtle energy work) and sequences them systematically to guide you into deep restoration, nervous system repair, and subconscious rewiring.
It doesn’t just borrow from these practices, it weaves them together in a way that allows your body to soften, your mind to settle, and your energy to recalibrate without force or effort. It’s structured, but deeply intuitive. Scientific, but profoundly spiritual. And once you experience the way it works you’ll understand why I call it the unicorn of healing.
Think of it like this:
Yoga Nidra is like skydiving. The act of deep rest (of letting go) is the dive itself. But to even get there, you need support systems. The plane is the structure: the sequencing, the breath cues, the body scans. It gets you into the right altitude (the right brainwave state) so you’re primed to drop in.
The parachute is the integration: the gentle return, the anchoring, the nervous system safety net that ensures you don’t just drop into the subconscious without a way back. Without the plane, you don’t reach the space where real transformation can happen. Without the parachute, you risk overwhelm, dissociation, or leaving the body entirely.
But with both? You get to truly experience the magic; held, supported, and free. That’s what Yoga Nidra offers. And that’s exactly how I teach it inside Nidra Nirvana.
Here’s why yoga nidra should be your #1 focus as we near the end of 2025:
1. Nervous system regulation is the new baseline not a bonus. You can’t scale, lead, or sustain your impact if your system is fried. Yoga Nidra works on a physiological level to downshift stress and recalibrate your inner state; fast.
2. It supports you while you support everyone else. You hold a lot; clients, students, family, business decisions. Yoga Nidra helps you refill your own cup so you’re not operating on fumes or holding space from depletion.
3. It unlocks creativity and clarity without hustle. Stillness isn’t passive, it’s wildly generative. The ideas, insights, and downloads that land during Yoga Nidra often become the seeds of your next-level work.
4. It’s a tangible tool you can teach and live by. In a sea of content, this practice sets you apart. You’re not just sharing quotes about rest, you’re modeling it, embodying it, and offering it to your clients in a way that’s grounded, accessible, and deeply transformational.
Yoga Nidra and the art of guiding it is what I teach in my program, Nidra Nirvana. I’m opening the doors to the program soon. If you’re interested, keep an eye out!
With love,
Arianna
